FAQs

What should I bring?

Swimwear, 2 towels (one to sit on and one to dry off with), a full water bottle (not glass or metal), and a pair of flip flops is handy to walk between the sauna, shelter and cold dip.

Do you have parking?

Yes - free, in the designated gravel parking area within Park Farm Campsite. Don’t drive on the grass - you might get stuck. Follow the short walk along the gravel path to the sauna. It’s signposted.

Do you have changing facilities?

As part of the campsite there are compost loos and hot showers that can be used for private changing and showering. In winter, the showers may be closed if it’s icy/snowy.

We have a shelter next to the sauna for communal changing and space to store your things.

Space is limited but bring enough layers especially in winter.

Do you have any storage for valuables?

No. We suggest you leave these at home. It’s also advisable to remove jewellery if possible before entering the sauna as some metals can get very hot.

Can I bring alcohol?

We have a no alcohol policy and reserve the right to refuse entry (without a refund) if anyone seems inebriated or intoxicated.

How hot does the sauna get?

The sauna is typically 70 to 80 degrees Celsius.

I have never had a sauna, what should I expect?

When you arrive, you’ll be greeted by one of our sauna hosts (Laura, Zoë, Ian, Jess or Amarni). They will go through what to do and look after you during your visit.

Please have a shower either before you come or when you arrive to help keep the sauna beautifully clean.

The most important thing is to relax and listen to your own body. Everyone is different. We recommend to maximise the benefits of the sauna you sit in the sauna for up to 10-15 minutes, followed by a cold shower or a plunge in the cold water bath or just simply stand outside, do what feels right for you, and repeat. Please keep hydrated during your session.

Customers are not allowed to operate the stove (it is extremely hot!). Your sauna host will take care of this for you. You are invited to ladle water onto the stones, using the equipment provided - you’ll be given instructions on how often to do this.

Can I bring children?

Yes - if you book a private hire. Please email us for further info. Communal sessions are for over 18s.
