What should I bring?
Swimwear, 2 towels (for in the sauna, and drying with), a full water bottle (not glass or metal), and flip flops or sliders.
Do you have parking?
Yes - free, in the designated gravel parking area within Park Farm Campsite. Don’t drive on the grass. Walk on the gravel path to the sauna. It’s signposted.
Do you have changing facilities?
Yes - there’s a shelter next to the sauna for communal changing and limited space to store your things.
There are compost loos and warm showers that can be used for private changing and showering. In winter, the showers may be closed if it’s icy/snowy.
Bring enough layers especially in winter.
Do you have any storage for valuables?
No. We suggest you leave these at home. It’s also advisable to remove jewellery if possible before entering the sauna as some metals can get very hot.
Can I bring alcohol?
We have a no alcohol policy and reserve the right to refuse entry (without a refund) if anyone seems inebriated or intoxicated.
How hot does the sauna get?
The sauna is typically 70 to 80 degrees Celsius.
I have never had a sauna, what should I expect?
You’ll be welcomed by one of our sauna hosts (Laura, Zoë, Ian or Amarni), who will gently guide you through the experience and be on hand throughout your visit.
Please shower before you arrive, or on site, to help keep the sauna clean and comfortable for everyone.
Once inside, the most important thing is to listen to your body. Everyone’s experience is different. Many guests enjoy sitting in the sauna for around 10–15 minutes, followed by a cold shower, a dip in the cold water, or simply stepping outside for fresh air — do what feels right for you, and repeat. Remember to stay well hydrated.
For safety, the sauna stove is managed by your host. You’re welcome to ladle water onto the stones using the equipment provided, and we’ll show you how and when to do this.
Can I bring children?
Yes - if you book a private hire. Please email us for further info. Communal sessions are for over 18s.
